There Is Truth Behind The By His Stripes We Are Healed Scripture
I believe in science and I believe in doctors thank God for them both, but there are times when science and doctors have done all they can do, and this is where you must put your trust in Jesus Christ to touch your body. Another reason why there is so much sickness and disease is that satan attacks people with certain sicknesses, I cant say all sickness comes from him but we know from scripture that demons attacked children and others with horrible illnesses. So, we cannot blame God for all the trouble in the world, especially when it comes to illness. The Bible tells us that satan goes around as a roaring lion looking for who he can devour. We who believe in the Bible as being Gods perfect word know we can stand on the promises of protection and deliverance from this evil person call satan. Hollywood and foolish atheist may think satan is some fake made-up story, but he is real and is destroying many in the world today including children.
There is only one place of protection and that is the presence of Jesus Christ.
What Does Isaiah Chapter 54 Mean
Promise Keeper After the flood, God promised never to inundate the world again. God will deck Israels foundations with jewels and make sure that its children will prosper and be instructed by God. Oppressors wont come near again. If they do, they wont be sent by God and will fall when they confront Gods people.
What does it mean that the arm of the Lord is revealed?
We know that not everyone believes the Word of God. To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed to? You! If you have placed your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus, and have called upon him to forgive your sins and be the Lord of your life, then the arm of the Lord has been revealed to you.
The Meaning Of By His Stripes You Were Healed
Thousands of Christians use this passage to state that Jesus work on the cross was not only for sin but also for sickness. They believe the healing this passage speaks of is referring to an immediate physical healing not only spiritual healing. They believe this healing can be applied now by faith.
This is Part 2 of our Misused and Abused Scripture Series. Listen to Part 1 titled: Does God Really Not Wish That Any Should Perish? 2 Peter 3:9

He Was Wounded For Our Transgressions
The first part of this passage uses violent language to describe what Jesus underwent for our deliverance. He was crushed, pierced, and bruised under incredible stress and pain. Through it all, His suffering was not in vain. He restored us from our transgressions.
But what are transgressions? This is a word that we dont often hear in todays language. The definition of transgressions in the Bible has to do with the idea of a covenant. Covenants are contracts made between people, or between God and His people, and there are several examples in scripture.
Transgression occurs when someone breaks a covenant, breaching trust. The Hebrew word for transgressions is pesha . In rebelling against each other or against God, a void is formed that can only be bridged by redemption or restoration.
As flawed human beings, we had deep transgressions with God as our covenant was broken with Him. We could not save ourselves from the power of sin and death. Separation from God is a breach no human can heal. However, God provided a way for our restoration.
Christ chose to undergo the terrible pain that we deserved to restore our relationship with God. He faced our trespasses to take them down with the fierceness of His love and the fullness of His redemption.
Scriptures To Declare For Healing
We are confident that healing is for everyone as Exodus 15:26 tells us that God is the Lord who heals us.

We know that Jesus has purchased full healing for each individual as much as He has provided forgiveness for every sin.
Exodus 15:26 NIVIf you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.
And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land I will fulfill the number of your days.
Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all His benefits Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.
Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows and pains And with the stripes Him we are healed and made whole.

What Is The Biblical Promise Of Being Healed By His Stripes
The Kings James Version tells us, with His stripes we are healed. Most modern versions replace the word stripes with wounds so that, with His wounds we are healed. In either case, the point is that the wounds, or stripes, suffered by Jesus were sufficient to bring healing.
However, to understand what this phrase means, we need to read it in context. To take verses out of context is dangerous and will usually lead to an incorrect understanding of what God is actually trying to say to us. We find Satan doing this in the Bible and throughout History. False teachers often follow his lead .
Christ Defeated Death By His Death
He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. And they made His grave with the wicked– But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
Christ was led to death, yet death could not hold His perfect, sinless body. “Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.”
Christ committed no lawlessness “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”
The Lord, God the Father, cleansed Him, God the Son, of His wound because His body could not remain subject to corruption and death. The offering made by Christ enables man to receive the same healing and eternal life.
Easter Hymn of Ancient Christianity
Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and on those in the tombs bestowing life!
This was the great, redeeming work of Christ, to bear our iniquities and reconcile us to Him.

We Are Healed Because Jesus Can Relate To Our Suffering
Who better than Jesus to understand our suffering. Psalms 34 reminds us, God is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. In Jesus final days, he was betrayed by one of his disciples, denied by his friend Peter. He was whipped and then given a criminals deathbeing nailed to the cross.
In the midst of all of it, Jesus felt as though he was forsaken by his own Father God has he waited to die on the cross.
No matter the suffering you are experiencing, Jesus gets it. He understands.
As you face betrayal, difficult relationships or whatever it may be, God understands, God cares, God is near at hand to comfort and help. To those who love him, God says, Fear not, for I am with you I will strengthen you, I will help you .

Understanding The By His Stripes We Are Healed Scripture
by JasonNewest Articles, Physical Healing, Spiritual Healing
The power of understanding the by his stripes we are healed scripture can change your life once you see what Jesus Christ did for anyone that will believe and accept His price. He shed His blood not only on the cross but many times before that cross. I will explain more on this in a minute. But first I want you to see that it is Gods will to heal. It is His desire to deliver His people from pain and disease. You may be asking, then why is their so much sickness in the world? The best way to answer that question is to help you understand that there are many reasons why there is so much sickness and disease in the world. First, we are in charge of our bodies, we have to eat right, exercise and do those things that we know is good for us.You cannot eat at the fast food line every day and expect God to keep you healthy. That would be foolish thinking. So, we do have a responsibility, that why we have a brain, so that we can make responsible decisions for our health.
How His Stripes Heal Us
John MacArthur sheds clear light on the matter in his commentary on 1 Peter 2:24 :
Christ died for believers to separate them from sins penalty, so it can never condemn them. The record of their sins, the indictment of guilt that had them headed for hell, was nailed to the cross . Jesus paid their debt to God in full. In that sense, all Christians are freed from sins penalty. They are also delivered from its dominating power and made able to live to righteousness .
In other words, this death to sin and becoming alive to righteousness is the healing work of Jesus actions. It is the healing work of his stripes. Both Peter and Isaiah meant the wounds of Jesus were a part of the process.
Due to mankinds sin, which brought separation from Gods fellowship, God sent Jesus to endure the sufferings and the brutal execution on the cross, “in our place,” as our substitute, so that all mankind could have a “bridge” back to the fellowship and benefits of God. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” .
When you accept Christ into your heart, the spiritual healing begins because you are choosing to receive and accept Gods forgiveness of your sins. You are no longer separated from Christ because He now lives in your heart. Here are 3 ways we are healed by Jesus’ stripes:

We Are Healed Of The Guilt Of Our Sins Through The Cross
Yes weve been forgiven, yes weve been washed clean of our sins by His stripes. But what if we still bare the burden of guilt for our sins? Past actions fester into regrets and become gaping wounds because we are unable to let go of the guilt of what weve done. You may wonder, How could God forgive me of that, I can barely forgive myself.
There are two kinds of guilt: Conviction and Condemnation. Conviction is the Spirit of God gently correcting you and restoring you to Himself. No sin is too great. The latter is what the enemy uses to prevent Jesus stripes from healing us. The enemy loves nothing more than to torment Gods people with the pain of their past.
Sometimes this kind of guilt is a symptom of unforgiveness in our hearts. In Matthew 18:23-25 Jesus tells us how important it is to forgive those who have wronged us.
