Spiritual And Emotional Healing Scriptures
Sin, abuse, neglect, rejection, betrayalall cause great emotional and spiritual pain that hurt just as physical pain does. God, our Great Physician can completely heal our broken hearts and bind our wounds, healing, and making us whole. Spiritual and emotional healing is often a process with steps that we need to put action behind. Use the following Bible verses to guide your heart and mind toward full recovery.
Chronicles : 14 Heal Our Land
Are you feeling the weight of the state of our world? Are you burdened about all that is going on? It seems as if every time a news headline comes out I just want to say, What is going on?! Well, whats going on is called sin and sin is rampant in our world, now more than ever. And whats going on is a spiritual battle a war between Satan and God. Every time we compromise on one of Gods standards, we can expect more sin, more brokenness. Every time we compromise on one of Gods standards, we allow Satan to have more control over our world. And for every compromise, Satan get a win. But God gives the battle plan that will restore and heal our land in 2 Chronicles 7 14.
What is going on?! Its called sin & sin is rampant in our world. Whats going on in a spiritual battle a war between Satan and God. Compromising on Gods standards bring more sin and Satan gains ground.
The Battle
There is definitely a spiritual battle taking place and right now it feels as if Satan is gaining ground. Ephesians 6:12 says, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Its time the people of God put on their spiritual armor and take a stand!
The Battle Plan
2 Chronicles 7:14 gives us the battle plan for gaining ground in a spiritual battle and the keys for God to heal our land:
Two Problems:
Satan is at work in our world and he is gaining ground
Turn From Our Wicked Ways
And he spoke to the congregation, saying, Depart now from the tents of these wicked men! Touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins.
Numbers 16:26
Now, lastly, if we want to find favour in the eyes of God, then we have to turn from our wicked ways. We cant be wicked to others and expect God to have mercy on us.
We have to live a righteous life and obey Gods commandments. We have to do what He wants if we want him to hear our plea. Turning from our wicked ways means, We acknowledge we are sinners and repent of our sins.
If we do all these with a sincere heart, then our Lord of mercy will hear us, forgive us and heal our land.

Healing Miracles Of Jesus
Jesuss healing is for today just as much as it was when he walked the earth and performed miracles of healing the sick and disabled. The Bible tells us that But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. ~ Isaiah 53:5. Jesus can still heal today!

We are more connected to this earth than youd think. Observe the Hebrew word play purposefully connecting man and ground .
This connection between humanity and the land becomes a powerful motif in the Scriptures. There are almost 300 verses were the words humanity and land are in the same phrase. It is in the land that God provides for humanity shelter, food, clothing, and purpose. The blessings of God were often connected to the prosperity of the land, and in contrast, the curses to the lands demise .
Modern urbanization has preferred concrete over grass, electricity over sunlight and air conditioning over a breeze. When someone hears the word land, images of flags, iconic scenery and patriotic songs are often associated. When someone hears prosperity of the land, economics are sure to come to mind.
When God speaks of land, he speaks of that which he has given humanity as a gift. Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them Be fruitful and multiple, and fill the land and subdue it and have dominion
When God speaks of land, he speaks of that which doesnt belong to a government, but to him. Psalm 24:1 The earth is the LORDs and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein
The Promise Of Forgiveness Of Sins
Turning to option 3, affirming the promise of forgiveness of sin for Christians is rather easy to validate since it is affirmed throughout the NT. When an OT principle is confirmed in the NT, we need look no further for authenticity. In his first epistle, the Apostle John employs language that is exceptionally similar to that of the Chronicler, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. On this basis, we must discard Option 2.
Johns first epistle was written to believers, so this forgiveness of sin, like our subject verse, is not referring to entering into salvation since we already possess redemption by the blood of Christ , but the re-establishment of proper fellowship with God. We can also note that to confess means to admit or declare our agreement with God regarding our accused guilt. It also implies that, with the help of the Spirit, we change our convictions and resolve to do our best not to repeat the sin.

Healing Our Land Starts With God Healing Our Hearts

We are creatures of habit, arent we? We drive the same way to work each day. We sit in the same chair. We order the same food at the restaurant. We pray the same prayer, behave the same way.
Whenever our country or government churns and struggles, people of faith tend to lean on a verse of Scripture. You have heard sermons and lessons on it. You have probably taken it out on more than one occasion yourself at election time, when there seems to be a conflict with countries, or even during the pandemic and racial tensions of the past months and weeks. It is times like these that we want God to touch our circumstances.
The passage is found in the book of 2 Chronicles. The verse reads, If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land . Sermons have been preached emphasizing almost every word of the passage. Three concepts are standing out at this time in life they all start with the letter h.
Humility provides a paradoxically powerful place to start. We understand what being humble involves with each other. More than defining it, we know what it is like when someone doesnt have it. Humility reverses an attitude that displays pride or arrogance. We show respect and courtesy. We make others a priority.

Lets pray to seek Gods face in humility and with pure hearts. Our focus needs to be on God Himself. Do we have hidden sins to confess? Are we stewarding our own spouses, children and responsibilities well? Lord, please make our hearts clean so You will hear our cries rise up to You. Please heal our land.

Lets pray to have Jesus heart for the lost. No matter how much someone may be grieving us with their sin in this moment, we must always remember Jesus died for this person too. He loves them so much and His heart is for us to intercede with Him for their salvation.

The Promise Of The Land For Individuals
The promise of forgiveness for believers was rather simple to confirm. By contrast, our final step of choosing between Options 3 and 4 requires much more research and thought. We all need to increase our prayer, praise, worship and service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in times like these.
