Now Another Question Arises Are Our Beliefs Even True
Beliefs like boys never cry, boys dont feel the pain, these all beliefs are not the actual fact, or you cant do this because you are not good at it, these influence make us believe in all this and hence it becomes reality for us, hence we should examine if they are true, to begin with, If they were true in the past, some beliefs when we were very young we shouldnt talk to strangers, were true but it was past, and now at present maybe things are not same , Hence letting go false and old beliefs is the step towards changing our lives.
Causes Of Symptoms According To Louise Hay
Causes of symptoms according to Louise Hay is a good place to start if you are looking for healing. Illness however mild or severe is an indicator of your emotional state, caused by your thoughts and focus.
I first came across this concept about 11 years ago when i read You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. I found this book while in the depths of depression and it turned my life around in the next few years. In this book Louise outlines the causes of physical symptoms and the affirmations one must repeat to heal the illness.
Why it didnt work for me: Louise Hays book was instrumental in helping me understand that our thoughts create our life experiences, and that the key to true happiness is self love. She focuses on loving yourself, as once you love you, everything you want will flow to you naturally. The world begins to love you. I did follow the affirmations religiously for about 5 years, and they did have positive results in my life. For example i was able to increase my deserve-ability considerably, which lead to a better paid job and better relationships.

For this Hay recommends several exercises and ask us to shift FromI SHOULD to I COULD, And ask us to identify where some of our limiting beliefs come from and also ask us to realize that we have a choice.
Louise Hay: You Can Heal Your Life
I had no idea that there was a link between my emotions and my body until I read a small book called Body Talk by Louise L. Hay.
Louise L. Hay was a metaphysical practitioner and best selling author who noticed the connections between our thoughts, emotions and physical illnesses.
In Body Talk, Louise lists the problem or ailment, the probable mental and emotional cause, and a new thought pattern and affirmation. Lets say you have pimples she suggests you consider where in your life small outburst of anger occur. Her suggested new thought pattern is I calm my thoughts, and I am serene. Now simply repeating this over and over wont cure your spots.
Instead look at how you are reacting to things in your life, and ask yourself what mental thoughts might be triggering your outbursts. You can use Louises book as a guide to asking deeper questions like,
- What am I doing?
- What am I assuming or thinking?
- What is my attitude?
- What am I taking personally?
- What am I expecting?
- Who or what am I making wrong?
- How wide am I looking?
- What am I sure about?
- Who am I angry at, or what am I angry about? or
- Who am I still holding resentment towards who needs forgiveness?
and then, ask yourself what it is that you could have done or said so that you dont need to get upset.

At the root of most of our issues or problems is the fundamental belief that Im not good enough and the lack of self love. For example, the underlying belief of financial disaster is often Im not worthy of having money, that of having no friends is usually nobody loves me and the tendency to always try to please others often comes from the belief I never get my way.

Where Does It All Come From
These beliefs, along with many other ideas of who we are and the rules we must live by, are often learned when we are very young, from the adults around us. When we grow up, we tend to re-create our lives around these beliefs. Hay recommends several exercises, such as shifting I should to I could to realize we have a choice, identifying underlying issues beneath the visible problems, and identifying where some of our limiting beliefs come from.
Essentially, we are dealing with thought patterns. Once we recognize this, we realize we have the power to begin change right now, at this present moment. Since it all begins in the mind, we also have full and complete control of the outcomes in our lives.
Theres A Common Thread Between Many Skin Ailments Of Anger And Lack Of Self Acceptance
If you have stuffed down your anger because you were told its not appropriate to express it, you may find a blemish emerge after an incident. If you grew up in a home where you had to ignore your anger, you may have had pimples or acne.
What can you do to release anger apart from hitting a cushion? Well a little tip from my teacher is to say, Hmm, I am angry not in a scary voice but just a normal voice. When you acknowledge how you are feeling, it does not have to go underground and start bubbling up like a volcano.

In Is It True?, the fourthchapter of her extraordinarily popular 1984 classic You Can Heal Your Life,Louise Hay seems to have put down in writing a justification for her book:
I have never understood the importance of having children memorize battle dates. It seems like such a waste of mental energy. Instead, we could teach them important subjects such as How the Mind Works, How to Handle Finances, How to Invest Money for Financial Security, How to be a Parent, How to Create Good Relationships, and How to Create and Maintain Self-Esteem and Self-Worth.
Can you imagine what a whole generation of adults would be like if they had been taught these subjects in school along with their regular curriculum?
In You Can Heal Your Life a seminal work in the field of self-help literature Hay has attempted to write a book for this new generation of adults, a sort of an alternative curriculum to life and everything else.
The main premise is very simple:
Sounds too Secret-like?
Thats because it is!
What we think about ourselves becomes the truth for us.
The root of all problems?
You Can Heal Your Life By Louise Hay
I have attended one online session on You can heal your life last year in lockdown period and that session triggered me to read the book. The books is based on Self love & Gratitude concept in which Louises key message is: If we are willing to do the mental work, almost anything can be healed. Louise explains how limiting beliefs and ideas are often the cause of illness, and how you can change your thinkingand improve the quality of your life.
Here are some of the good points I liked. Most of them are affirmation we should try everyday.
o Life Is Really Very Simple. What We Give Out, We Get Back
o What we think about ourselves becomes the truth for us.
o Every thought we think is creating our future.
o “You are wonderful. I love you. How often do you tell yourself this?
o Resentment that is long held can eat away at the body and become the dis-ease we call cancer.
o Criticism as a permanent habit can often lead to arthritis in the body.
o Fear, and the tension it produces, can create things like baldness, ulcers, and even sore feet.
o I have found that forgiving and releasing resentment will dissolve even cancer.
o The past is over and done. We cannot change that now.Yet we can change our thoughts about the past. How foolish for us to PUNISH OURSELVES in the present moment because someone hurt us in the long ago past.
o We need to choose to release the past and forgive everyone, ourselves included.
o Loving ourselves works miracles in our lives.

The Root Cause Of The Problem What Is The Actual Disease
The root and the most common problem is the fundamental belief that I am not good enough and lack of self-love.
Example, the most common belief is related to money is that I am not good enough to earn money in my life, or I dont have friends or people dont love me, and the tendency of impressing other people comes from the belief I never get my way.
Early Life And Career
Born Helen Vera Lunney in Los Angeles to parents Henry John Lunney and Veronica Chwala , Hay recounted her life story in an interview with Mark Oppenheimer of The New York Times in May 2008.
In it, Hay stated that she was born in Los Angeles to a poor mother who remarried Louise’s violent stepfather, Ernest Carl Wanzenreid , who physically abused her and her mother. When she was about 5, she was raped by a neighbor. At 15, she dropped out of University High School in Los Angeles without a diploma, became pregnant and, on her 16th birthday, gave up her newborn baby girl for adoption.
She then moved to Chicago, where she worked in low-paying jobs. In 1950, she moved on again, to New York. At this point she changed her first name, and began a career as a fashion model. She achieved success, working for Bill Blass, Oleg Cassini, and Pauline Trigère. In 1954, she married the English businessman Andrew Hay after 14 years of marriage, she felt devastated when he left her for another woman, Sharman Douglas . Hay said that about this time she found the First Church of Religious Science on 48th Street, which taught her the transformative power of thought. Hay revealed that here she studied the New Thought works of authors such as Florence Scovel Shinn who believed that positive thinking could change people’s material circumstances, and the Religious Science founder Ernest Holmes who taught that positive thinking could heal the body.
