A Prayer For Personal Healing
God, you know me so well. You created me. You know the number of hairs on my head, and you even know the thoughts conceived in my heart before I ever vocalize them. You’ve told us to come to you and ask for every need of life. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and you have the final word on my destiny, the number of years I’ll live and serve you on earth.
I’m coming to you today as your child, longing to hear from you and asking for your divine healing. There’s so much I don’t understand about life. But I do know that with one touch, one word, you can make me whole. Please forgive me of my sins, cleanse me of my unrighteousness, and begin your healing from the inside out.
I don’t always know what your will is Lord, especially in times like now, when I desperately seek your face. I offer you no promises, no bargains, no deals to exchange for my health. I simply bow my heart before you to tell you the desire of my heart: that I want to spend as many years as I can loving you here, loving others, and wanting to become more like you. However you choose to accomplish that is up to youand okay with me. If you use doctors to provide healing, give them wisdom to know what to do. Regardless of how you accomplish it, the healing you give is always miraculous. And you deserve all the praise.
Healing A Broken Home
Lord, this is hard. This hurts. My heart longs to fix things, but I know I cant. I know I cannot change anyone, but You can. I surrender my hurts, my thoughts, my loved ones, and our broken family to You. I release my grip and my desire to control. Give me the strength and courage to do so, not just now as I sit in Your presence, strengthened by Your Spirit, but each moment my fear rises up. Allay my fear by reminding me of truththe truth that You are, even now, working all things out for my good and Your glory . The truth that You love my loved ones even more than I do, that You desire wholeness and restoration, family unity, even more than I do. And the truth that You will never leave us or forsake us. I know Youre fighting for me and my family. And I entrust my heart to You. Thank You for being here, ever by my side, to guide, hold, strengthen and comfort me in my time of need.
Prayer For Healing A Wavered Faith In God
Oh gracious Lord, I humbly come to You with my head bowed in shame. A moment of weakness caused me to doubt You You do not deserve such doubts, and for this I beg for Your forgiveness. Lord give me strength to fight off the doubts and worries that seek only to lay harmful hands on the covenant I entered with You. My faith will forever be imperfect, but I pray that it may someday be worthy of the perfection that is Your grace and love. Though I never should have turned away from You this I know now I know I am blessed to be given a new beginning. I pray that this renewed faith of mine continues to heal, as I am ready to never doubt You again, oh Lord. I ask this of You in Your holy name. Amen.

Surround Yourself With People Who Believe
- Surround yourself with people who believe. According to a study, people who prayed and prayed alone were more likely to feel hopeless, depressed and anxious than those who went through the same ordeal but surrounded themselves with others.
- Prayer can be done in many ways. You can pray on your own or with other people from your church or community. You could also invite friends to join you for prayer sessions, whether at home or in a public place such as a park. You may even want to meet up with strangers who are going through similar situations and may benefit from your prayers together!
Why Do We Lack Trust In God
Many of us would also like to be as safe as this leper man, or as confident in faith as this Roman officer. But where is the fault that we cant, why dont we?
The problem is often in what we think of God and His work among us.
In todays age, many people feel that God is acting too slowly because we have come to get everything here and now.
But with God, it is not like with an online store where we can order what we need and it will be delivered to us immediately. We understand that this is stupid, but we do it anyway God, please sooner! However, he is in control and it even seems that the more we hurry him, the more he waits. For upbringing, purposes to foster our spirit of patience and meekness.
God never leaves us, but comes when it is just in time not to be late. God also sees our motives for why we ask for something, and He also sees what happens if we get what we ask for.

A Prayer For Healing A Loved One
All our times are in Thy hand. All diseases come at Thy call and go at Thy bidding. Thou redeemest our life from destruction and crownest us with loving kindness and tender mercies. We bless Thee, that Thou hast heard our prayer, and commanded deliverances for our friend and Thy servant, who has been under Thine afflicting hand. He was brought low, but Thou hast helped him . May he not only live but declare the works of the Lord! As Thou hast delivered his eyes from tears, his feet from falling, and his soul from death, may he daily inquire: What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits towards me, and resolve to offer unto Thee the sacrifices of thanksgiving and to call upon the name of the Lord. May we ever remember that recovery is only a reprieve and that someday we will go to our rest in the Lord. May we, therefore, secure the righteous path and live with eternity ever in our view.
Prayer To Increase Faith
Dearest Lord, even Your wisest disciples needed strength to fortify their faith. I pray for the same strength, so that my faith in You may never waver. Increase my faith so that I may share it with others who may need to be shepherded back to You. Strengthen my faith, so that I may be ready to face any doubts that might block my path. Even with faith the size of a mustard seed, I know that anything is possible in Your name. I humbly ask this of you in Christs glory, Amen.

Believe That God Hears You
When you pray for healing, its important that you believe that God hears you.
No matter what is going on in your life or the circumstances surrounding your illness, God is always listening to your prayers and ready to help. He wants to heal whatever is hurting you physically or emotionallybut sometimes, our illnesses dont go away right away because we need some time to learn lessons or develop patience.
God knows these things before we even ask them of Him. The Bible says faith comes by hearing , and hearing by the word of God . So when we pray with faith that God will answer our prayers, then they are answered!
Prayer Of Faith To Seek Gods Presence
Dear God, some days are truly harder than others. I continue to pray to You day by day, but sometimes, it feels like these efforts no longer suffice. Sometimes I feel so alone, and in this solitude, my strength and faith crumble. Please grant me strength, oh Lord, to ride these turbulent waters that test my faith. Help me to remain steadfast even in times of loneliness. I pray that You will make Your presence known because I know even on days when I may not feel You, I know You are always everywhere around me. You are my one true God, and it is only in Your loving embrace do I find safety in these dark times. Amen.

You Can Pray With Faith And Confidence
- You can pray with confidence. We are to be confident that our prayers will be answered, according to Hebrews 4:16.
- You can pray with faith. Our faith in God is what gives Him permission to act on our behalf and answer our prayer requests, according to Mark 11:22-24.
- You can pray with persistence. Dont give up when you dont immediately see results from your prayers keep asking until you receive it .
- You can pray with otherswhether its family members, friends or fellow Christiansbecause two are better than one and they can encourage one another in their times of need . They also witness the power of prayer!
In conclusion, we can say that the act of praying for healing is an essential part of our Christian faith. Its not just something we do once in a while when were sick or depressed it should be an ongoing part of our lives and relationship with God. And if you are struggling to find healing, remember that you are not alonethere are many people who have been there before

Three Kinds Of Praying Are In The Text
In James 5:1318 we see at least three kinds of praying notjust one. And all three of them are ways of praying for people whoare sick or suffering in some way. You can’t use this text to saythere is just one biblical way to pray for the sick. There is agreat deal of flexibility possible here.
Praying for Yourself
First, there is praying for yourself. James 5:13, “Is anyoneamong you suffering? Let him pray.” Here the suffering may be ofany kind. We are not told that only in some kinds of suffering youshould pray for yourself. So our response to some suffering shouldbe praying for ourselves evidently without always pulling theelders or other people in, though of course, it doesn’t have to beeither-or.
Praying of the Elders over a Sick Person
Second, there is the praying of the elders over a sick person.James 5:1415, “Is any among you sick? Let him call for the eldersof the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oilin the name of the Lord and the prayer of faith will save the sickman, and the Lord will raise him up and if he has committed sinshe will be forgiven.”
This is a case where the person is so weak and bedridden thatthey can’t get out easily to the gathered church. We see thiscondition in the phrase “pray over” and we see it in thestatement, “the Lord will raise him up” . So the situation when the elders are called probablyinvolves a physical condition that keeps a person from getting outto the fellowship.

James encourages us that Elijah was a man with a nature like ours . That means he was a sinner, just like you and me. But he was a man who believed in the power of prayer. He prayed fervently that it not rain, and God held off the rain for three years. Then he prayed for rain, and God graciously answered his prayer with rain for the harvest. Were not told that his words were eloquent or that he had an extraordinary gift of faith, but that he was righteous, faithful and diligent in prayer. This should encourage us. God hears our prayers. He may not answer them the way we want, but we can always trust that He is good and will answer according to His perfect will.
Shepherds Sometimes Used As Channels
God intends that in some circumstances the shepherds be the channel of needed spiritual gifts to theflock.
People ask: Why should not the sick person, bedridden at home,ask for the healers to come instead of the elders. The answer istwofold.
First, we saw last week that there is no evidence in the NewTestament that there were any so-called healers in the churches.God gives “gifts of healings” not THE gift of healing. And hedistributes these gifts of healings variously as he wills, now toone person, now to another. Some people might receive a gift ofhealing more regularly than other people. But that is notguaranteed for every church and so it can’t be the basis of James’instruction for the churches.
The second part of the answer is found in who the elders are.They are shepherds . Whom does asheep need when it is wounded or sick? Answer: It needs ashepherd.

A Prayer Of Faith For Healing For You

Pray For Healing Regularly And Persistently
Pray for healing regularly and persistently.
- Set aside a regular time to pray for healing in your life. Commit to it, and stick with it. It can be as simple as 15 minutes each day at noon or midnight, or even just 10 minutes every morning when you get up.
- Pray for healing in every area of your life: physical, mental/emotional, financial and spiritual/relationship areas are all important areas that need to be considered when praying for healing .
- Pray for others who need healing in their lives family members, friends or even strangers if its appropriate . They will feel comforted knowing that someone is praying specifically on their behalf!

Praying For Healing With Faith
Few things provoke us to relentlessly pursue an answer from God like the need for healingespecially for our loved ones.
Like Moses in the wilderness, the Roman centurion in Capernaum, or the mother from Canaan, we call on our compassionate God for healing.
And He answers.
There are moments when healing is instantaneous, and there are times when God leads us to contend in intercession for our loved ones physical wholeness. During these times, its important to remember:
1. God wants to heal.
In Luke 4, Jesus declares to religious leaders what was proclaimed about Him hundreds of years earlier: He came to heal.
When faced with the realities of sickness, we sometimes question whether God desires to heal our loved ones.
Jesus went against religious tradition, boldly healing people on the Sabbath, even in the midst of powerful leaders who threatened and verbally condemned Him . But He was not intimidated. Despite the accusations and threats, He didnt stop healing people.
As we agree with God and His Word, reminding Him of His character and covenant promises, we are reminded of the eternal truth that God is compassionate. He enjoys correcting the wrong things in our lives.
2. God is the Healer because this is His nature.
3. God invites us to intercession.
God has chosen intercession, or praying for others, as the primary means in which He releases His power through His people.
Prayer Is A Special Form Of Meditation And May Therefore Convey All The Health Benefits That Have Been Associated With Meditation
Different types of meditation have been shown to result in psychological and biological changes that are actually or potentially associated with improved health. Meditation has been found to produce a clinically significant reduction in resting as well as ambulatory blood pressure, to reduce heart rate, to result in cardiorespiratory synchronization, to alter levels of melatonin and serotonin, to suppress corticostriatal glutamatergic neurotransmission, to boost the immune response, to decrease the levels of reactive oxygen species as measured by ultraweak photon emission, to reduce stress and promote positive mood states, to reduce anxiety and pain and enhance self-esteem and to have a favorable influence on overall and spiritual quality of life in late-stage disease. Interestingly, spiritual meditation has been found to be superior to secular meditation and relaxation in terms of decrease in anxiety and improvement in positive mood, spiritual health, spiritual experiences and tolerance to pain.
